JAMIE LYNN HOUSE
After receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Public Relations, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a variety of different organizations. Whether I'm writing about a new air bnb, highlighting a local business, or sharing information about an upcoming event, I have a passion for creating meaningful copy that connects with the reader. I've been published in two Los Angeles magazines, have written a coming-of-age screenplay, and am currently seeking a literary agent for my debut novel.
Inspiration behind my latest project: Originally a small-town girl from Pennsylvania and a lifelong thrift shopper, I often find myself curious about the past lives of the items I buy. This fascination, coupled with my family’s experience with mental health challenges, inspired the story behind my debut novel, The Shop of Secondhand Secrets. Creative writing has always been my refuge from life’s daily stressors--poetry, short stories, and diary entries. When a close family member faced health issues a couple years ago, writing became my escape, allowing me to process my feelings and find solace in storytelling. I thrive on crafting narratives that foster empathy and encourage readers to see the world from different perspectives.
Why health coaching? In July 2024, I completed my health coach training with INN--the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. This training and my extensive reading and research has given me the expertise to help clients find health solutions through lifestyle changes. By using one-on-one coaching and customized plans based on the individual, my goal is to help clients achieve their health goals by making changes that will have a life-long impact. I have experience with tailoring diets for those with physical pains and food allergies and have extensive knowledge on best practices to heal inflammation, which is often the culprit behind chronic conditions. I have a passion for helping mothers design better diets for children suffering with health and behavioral challenges--What children eat effects their growing minds and changing bodies!
I reside in North Carolina with my husband, two children, and two rescue dogs. When I’m not thrift shopping, I'm doing yoga, walking the beach, or cooking delicious gluten-free treats for my family.
